Monaco has confirmed that they had reached an agreement to sign Radamel Falcao this summer on a five-year deal with an estimated €50 million transfer.

Russian Dmitry Rybolovlev, Monaco owner, put an end to all the talking in this subject, when he announced in the season end ceremony that the club had reached an agreement with the Colombian striker after weeks of discussions.

"We are absolutely delighted that Radamel Falco has accepted the challenge of coming to play for AS Monaco. We are proud to have secured one of the best players in the world", said Rybolovlev.

Falcao, who enjoyed an amazing season with Atletico Madrid, scoring 28 goals in La Liga with one game left and 31 in all competitions as his team secured a Champions League spot and won Copa del Rey trophy, confirmed the move on Twitter: "I want to share with you that I will be player of @ASMFC_MONACO  next season. I'm eager to start this challenge! I count on you support!".

The Colombian striker will join his country man James Rodríguez, Joao Moutinho and Ricardo Carvalho in the so called "super club" to compete only in Ligue 1 and French cup next season, having to wait at least one year before taking their new club to the European competitions.
