Lionel Messi is recovering very well and will be able to play for Argentina in the next World Cup qualifiers against Columbia and Ecuador on  June 7 and 11, Barcelona physio Juan Jose Brau has announced.

The Argentinean superstar last game was against Atletico Madrid at Vicente Calderon on May 12 when he couldn't continue the match due to his hamstring injury and walked off the pitch despite  all three subs were already made.

Although Argentina coach Alejandro Sabella announced on May 24 that Leo Messi will be in the squad for the WCQ, he was still a serious doubt for the two games but according to the Catalans medical team he will be able to play without any risk.

Barca Coach Tito Vilanova said in a press conference ahead of the club's last Liga game: "Barcelona gave the green light for Messi to travel for Buenos Aires this Friday and train with his national team".

Argentina tops the table of the South American World Cup qualifying group with 24 points from 11 games, four points ahead of Ecuador and five ahead of Colombia with both teams played one match less.
