Ivanovic stunning header gives Chelsea Europa glory

Goal from Fernando Torres and a last-gasp header from Branislav Ivanovic gave Chelsea the Europa League title after winning against a solid Benfica at Amsterdam Arena (Torres min 60, Ivanovic 90+2 for Chelsea and Cardozo 68 pk).

Chelsea became the first club in Europe to hold both the Champions League and the Europa League titles at the same time, when they ended Benfica dream to win a European cup for the first time since 41 years when they won the 1961-1962 cup 5-3 against Real Madrid.

The match seemed to be heading into extra time, but Ivanovic had another opinion when he sent a stunning header into the goal from Juan Mata's corner two minutes into added time.

Rafa Benitez, who joined Chelsea in November 2012  as an interim manager after the Blues sacked Di Matteo did a very good job with the team by winning the Europa League tonight and almost securing a Champions League spot next season, but anyway he will be departing the club by the end of this season for an emotional return to Jose Mourinho.
