Brilliant Messi gave Barcelona important win over Real Betis

Leo Messi proved once again to be pivotal for the Catalans as he scored a brace to help Barca edge tricky betis 4-2 at the Camp Nou.

Messi started the game on the bench before coming in for David Villa in the minute 56 while the scoreboard was 2 for each team, 4 minutes later he scored his 45th Liga goal with an amazing free-kick from 25 yards to give his team the lead for the first time in the match.

Leo then added another with one of the best teamwork goals of the season after passes between Messi, Alexis and an amazing back-heel from Iniesta.

Barca now are 11 points ahead of their rivals and last season Liga champions Real Madrid with 4 matches left to play, so Barcelona could be crowned next Sunday in Madrid if they manage to win at Vicente Calderón over Atlético Madrid, they also might be crowned without even having to play any game if Real Madrid lost or draw to Malaga this Wednesday (May 8).
