This year a new women’s champion will be added to the elite group who won Wimbledon after Kirsten Flipkens upset 2011 winner Petra Kvitova who was the last champion left in the draw.
Flipkens came from a set down to defeat Kvitova 4-6 6-3 6-4 to meet Bartoli in semi-final, as Sabine Lisicki who knocked out Serena William will meet the highest seeded player left Agnieszka Radwanska (4th seed).
